Do You Take Insurance?

We do not directly file or take insurance. However, we assist the customer with the filing procedure. First, the customer needs to secure a physician's prescription for a medical prosthetic device. Then, when the wig is delivered, we give them a properly coded receipt. These two documents must accompany each other at the time of filing. Our customers usually have very few problems seeking reimbursement for wigs (Chemotherapy, Alopecia, or medical).

Will I look natural?

Yes. When a wig is chosen by the customer, most are already styled to perfection. If not, all our wigs are custom fitted and cut by trained stylists. All wigs are sold to include style time as part of our service.

Do your wigs look like the wigs at a mall kiosk?

Absolutely not. The wigs sold at the mall kiosk shops are cheap machine made fashion wigs. At Apollo, our synthetic and human hair wigs are handmade, using the finest materials available. We have price ranges to fit any budget. All of our wigs come from the top wig designers in the world. Both synthetic and human hair wigs can be custom designed to match any type of hair.

Will my wig be comfortable?

Yes. Our wig specialists will use or design a cap that fits and is comfortable. We take into consideration the medical condition of the patient when choosing a pre-made wigs or when designing the wig cap base for a custom wig. Those who have used our service marvel at the wig’s comfort and natural style.

What wig is best for me? Synthetic or human hair?

This usually depends on the customer’s medical condition. If a patient has or is about to lose their hair from chemotherapy or radiation treatments, most likely their hair will re-grow in time. For these types of conditions, we would probably suggest a fine synthetic wig, mainly because of the ease of care. For longer lasting types of medical hair loss, or permanent hair loss, we usually suggest a wig of human hair. These types of wigs can be used for longer periods of time, even permanently, just like a hair system. Also, they are very natural to the touch and make the customer a feel like their own hair has been fully restored. From a practicality standpoint, synthetic hair requires less maintenance than human hair. However, human hair can be styled with heat appliances; whereas, synthetic hair cannot.

Do you provide styling even for the less expensive synthetic wigs?

Yes. The wigs are sold as a package and include styling, wig stand, and care kit. The care kit includes instructions, shampoo, conditioner, and hair spray.
